Today is world suicide prevention day. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth aged 15 to 24 and the third leading cause of death among youth aged 10 to 14 (CDC, 2010). Among youth who identify as sexual minorities, the likelihood of death by suicide has been estimated to be two to seven times greater than the likelihood of death by suicide among heterosexual youth (Haas et al., 2011). Irrespective of theoretical orientation, however, most researchers, psychologists, and mental  health  practitioners agree that youth identifying as a sexual minority are exposed to a higher number of risk factors than their heterosexual counterparts. Homosexuality is not a crime in India anymore and it is not a mental disorder, five Supreme Court judges declared on Thursday in a spectacular leap for gay rights in the country and a rainbow moment in its history. But what is the impact on the underprivileged LGBTQ community? Meet him. He is Masdur. He is basically from a small village of Bihar but lives at a slum near Howrah Railway station. Working as a construction labor. When I contacted him after the scrapping down of IPC377, he got very surprised.  "Is it really happened? Does the Government have accepted us?
